About us
We have a great love for coffee and a big passion for the art of roasting. Aura Bean Roastery acquires its coffee from fair trade companies. These coffees are then hand-roasted to perfection.

To ensure community development and empowerment, the fair trade industry guarantees that farmers will receive a fair payment for their coffee, regardless of the market fluctuations. Aura Bean Roastery provides single-origin coffee beans, which derive from a single country and region. To maximize optimal aroma and flavour, Aura Bean Roastery hand-roasts in small batches and then packages the coffee just after the cooling down phase. The coffee taste will give an experience emanating passion and distinction.

The website hosts a blog, which is equipped with commenting facilities. While we invite you to share your opinions and questions in this way, they must not be used to distribute spam messages, post commercial advertisements, or spread links to malicious or dangerous websites. We do retain the right to moderate any comment or written content submitted to the aurabean.co.za website and to remove any content deemed to have violated our policies.

This site and its content may not be copied, posted, transmitted, reproduced, republished, uploaded, or distributed. ‘Deep-linking’, ’embedding’, or using analogous technology is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized use of this site and/or the materials contained on this site may violate applicable copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws.

Our Rights
Rights for Aura Bean are reserved to:

1. Modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, the Website (or any part of) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the Website; and/or
2. Aura Bean Roastery reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the Website (or any part of it) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed. If you disagree with any change to these Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.
3. We will use our reasonable endeavors to maintain the Website. The Website is subject to change without notice. You will not be eligible for any compensation because you cannot use any part of the Website or because of a failure, suspension, or withdrawal of all or part of the Website due to circumstances beyond our control.

Product availability
All coffee is roasted per order to enable maximum freshness and therefore the end-user enjoyment. Coffee orders will be roasted and dispatched when payment has been validated/received. From receipt of payment please allow three working days plus shipping time depending on the size of the order. For large orders, a longer time will be needed.

General
The time of delivery will be dependent on stock availability. Should the stock be available, orders will be dispatched within two working days from the payment being validated/received.

Should the product be unavailable, Aura Bean will contact you directly with a delivery time estimate.

Every effort is made to get your order on time; however, unforeseen events may cause delays; i.e. courier companies having logistical problems. Should we be faced with such an occurrence, Aura Bean Roastery will contact you directly with a revised delivery schedule.

All orders finalized after 12h00 {CAT} on Fridays will be processed the following business day. Certain holidays will also take effect and orders will be finalized thereafter.

Privacy Policy

(At certain points in the aurabean.co.za website navigation, you may be asked to share your email address or other personal identifying information with us). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy applies to all the web pages related to this website.

All the information gathered in the online forms will only be used to personally identify users that subscribe to our service. The information will not be used for anything other than what is stated in the Terms & Conditions of use. None of the information you as the end-user give will be sold or made available to anyone! Your email address will only be used to send you the aurabeanroastery.com newsletter and/or to alert you to any information that you have specifically requested you be notified about. The Site may collect certain information about your visit, such as the name of your Internet service provider and the IP address through which you access the Internet – the date and time you’ve accessed the Site; the pages that you access while on the Site, and the Internet address of the Web site (Google Chrome; Mozilla Firefox; etc.) from which you linked directly to the Aura Bean Roastery site. This information is used to help improve our Site, to examine trends, and to administer the Site.

We may need to change this policy from time to time (without notice) to address new issues and reflect changes on our site. We will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather from our end users, how we might use that given information, and whether or not we will disclose that information to anyone. Shipping

Please ensure the correct shipping address is provided from the outset, as the title and risk will pass to you once the order has left our premises. We take no responsibility for orders that have the wrong information.

Occasionally, packages are returned to us undeliverable. Should this event take place every attempt will be made to contact you to make arrangements for re-shipment.

Order processing

Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment. For EFT this means that we cannot process the order until the funds have cleared in our account (which is normally within the next 2 – 3 business days).

Export Restrictions

Because of the costs involved in transporting great distances, shoppers outside of South Africa are requested to contact Aura Bean Roastery via Email – [email protected], and we will discuss your request and do everything in our power to accommodate your order.

Refunds/returns Policy

When you shop with us, we want you to be completely satisfied. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a replacement or refund of the purchase price. If you have ordered the wrong product or the wrong product has been dispatched, please do not open the products/goods or damage them. If you do, we will not accept it, and no refund will be given.

Also, take note that any coffee that is ground to customer specifications will not be refunded under any circumstances.

* Note:

We recommend that you use The Courier Guy for all returns, as it offers shipment tracking through a 24-hour customer helpline. Should you choose to use a carrier that does not offer a tracking facility and the goods are lost, then no refund or return will be considered. International customers should make use of a courier that offers:

1. Shipment tracking.
2. Insure your package for safe return and declare the full value of the shipment, failing which loss or damage will be for your account.

What should I do if my order is incomplete, incorrect, or damaged?

Payment Options and Pricing

All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR).

Aura Bean Roastery endeavors to offer you competitive prices on current products; your total order price will include the price of the purchase plus any applicable sales tax (VAT) and shipping charges (on the day of shipping).

Aura Bean Roastery reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice.

If payment is not received or the payment method is declined, the buyer forfeits the ownership of any items purchased. If no payment is received, no items will be shipped. Items will stay on the property of Aura Bean Roastery until full payment has been received.

Credit Card

MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted.

If you do not have a credit card please utilise one of the other payment options, or simply log off and return to the site at a later time to complete your order. All of your order details will be saved online in “Your Account” available for use whenever you’re ready! Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please note that Aura Bean utilizes a secure payment method provided by Virtual Card Services and that payments may be reflected on your bank statement as “Virtual Shop” and not “Aura Bean Roastery” Depending on the payment service you use.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)

Select the option to pay via EFT when ready to checkout and finalise your order. You will need to load Bean There Coffee Company as a beneficiary on your Internet banking and use the unique order ID as the reference for your payment. Orders will be processed and shipped once funds have cleared in our account (which is normally the next business day).

Security Policy

1. Virtual Card Services processes all credit card transactions. All credit card transactions are 128-bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encrypted. The company registration documents and the site’s registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte, ensuring the cardholder and merchant that nobody can impersonate VCS to obtain confidential information.
2. Virtual Card Services is committed to providing secure online services. All encryption complies with international standards. Encryption is used to protect the transmission of personal information when completing online transactions. Virtual Card Services Internet servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
3. The Merchant does not have access to credit details.
4. Virtual Card Services continually reviews and enhances its security in line with technological changes.

Monitoring

We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any activity and content associated with the Website. We may investigate any reported violation of these Terms and Conditions or complaints and take any action that we deem appropriate (which may include but is not limited to, issuing warnings, suspending, terminating, or attaching conditions to your access and/or removing any materials from the Website).

Law

The Terms and Conditions will be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa whose Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute, save that we have the right, at our sole discretion, to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.

The seller is not responsible for any health or safety concerns once the buyer has received the item. If any harm is incurred from the items purchased by the buyer, the seller shares no responsibility.

The designs and printing on packages remain the property of Aura Bean Roastery and may not be reproduced or copied in any way!

Intellectual Property
The Site and all of its original content are the sole property of Aura Bean Roastery and are, as such, fully protected by the appropriate international copyright and other intellectual property rights laws.

Changes to This Agreement
Aura Bean Roastery reserves the right to modify, add to, or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms of Service at any time. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the Site after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms of Service. Therefore, we ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to this Agreement, we ask and advise that you do not use or continue to access the Aura Bean Roastery site immediately.

Consent
I understand that all the designs and trademarks are registered to Aura Bean (Pty) Ltd. and hereby accept the terms and conditions. I undertake not to copy/duplicate the trademarks and designs directly or indirectly in any way and understand the legal implications thereof. Should I be found to violate this agreement I understand that I will be held liable for all legal costs incurred by Aura Bean Roastery for any civil action or any legal action deemed necessary against me.
